Confirmation, together with Baptism and Eucharist, form the Sacraments of Initiation that are all intimately connected. In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit" and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ.

Confirmation preparation is held on specified Sunday mornings from 9 am to 10:15 am.  This preps in 9th grade with the candidate receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation in either 10th or 11th grade. St. Mary utilizes Matthew Kelly's Decision Point for Confirmation Preparation.
